Ginny | Week 1 | #52Portraits

To think that the arbitrary flipping of another page on the calendar can change even the smallest part of your life would be bizarre, yet resolution culture persists. Change doesn’t stick just because “new year new me”, you have to be completely dedicated to adopting new habits or losing old ones. This project could have started in February, June or September, but this felt like the right time to me. A year of portraits, one (or more, we’ll see how it goes) a week for all 52 weeks. These will be completely casual, with no ultimate agenda besides re-kindling my own creativity and hopefully creating something worthwhile. I can’t guarantee that the style will be consistent, or even the posting of the pictures, but that freedom is exactly what I’m looking forward to in this endeavour. Wish me luck, and feel free to pop back and send me angry messages if I’m not posting consistently.

Are you in London? Are you out of London? I’m going to be travelling Europe and beyond at certain points this year, and this project is the perfect excuse to meet people and get some local perspective.
Shoot me an email or message me if you want to participate.

To kick it all off, here’s my lovely pal Ginny – she made me soup after this, what a glorious person. We were blessed with a brief sunset after a rainy day, which gently illuminated the solarium and garden of her flat.
